Left Behind, Left to Suffer
Nova was once just another name on a kennel tag.
Completely abandoned at a small local shelter, she was left without care, food, or comfort.
Her frail body, hollow cheeks, and sorrowful eyes didn’t draw attention from passersby or shelter staff. She was simply… invisible.
No one fed her properly. No one stopped to notice her declining health. No one cared enough to ask why this sweet soul was fading away before their eyes.
But Nova didn’t give up.

A Second Chance—When All Hope Seemed Lost
Her rescue came not a moment too soon. Nova was transferred to a vet clinic.
It was there that her suffering came into full view.
The diagnoses were devastating:
- Blood parasites
- Severe anemia
- Chronic scabies and multiple secondary infections
- Eye infections
- Malnutrition and dehydration
- Suspected kidney issues
- Chronic hip and knee problems
It was a medical storm that would’ve broken most—but Nova had a spark. A spark the rescuers noticed immediately.
Her appetite was strong. Her eyes, though tired, were bright. She wanted to fight.

Healing Begins: One Gentle Touch at a Time
With care, compassion, and critical medical help, Nova’s transformation slowly began.
She was fed nourishing meals like goat’s milk and bone broth.
She got her first medicated bath. Bravecto was administered to soothe her scabies-ridden skin.
Despite weighing only 8.55 kg (nearly half of what she should), Nova wagged her tail at the sight of her caregivers.
And then, one day, she did something that shattered hearts around her.
She pranced out of her kennel with joy, tail wagging furiously, and pressed her head gently into her rescuer’s hand.
As if to say, “Thank you for helping me.”

Her Light is Shining Again 🌟
Every day, Nova is gaining strength. Her kidneys have stabilized. Her weight is slowly going up. Her eyes don’t just reflect pain anymore—they reflect trust.
She even dances when she sees her caregiver. She “sings” out little howls of happiness. And her cheeky personality is beginning to shine through.
Her hip and leg issues will still need surgery. But right now, Nova is living. Playing. Trusting.
And most importantly… she’s loved.
