She’d been hit by a truck and left behind, like she didn’t matter.
Her legs were crushed.
She couldn’t even relieve herself without help.
Every movement was pain, but her eyes still searched for kindness.
At 7 or 8 years old, she wasn’t a “cute puppy” anymore.
And with surgeries costing $5,000 and no promise of recovery…

Rehab, Heartbreak, and the Slow Fight Back
She was carried everywhere at first.
Her muscles wasted. Her spirit tested.

Matilda even joined them at the Samui Airport to welcome her new mom.
