Old racing dog gets abandoned and reduced to skin and bones until one person saves him

Ramoncito was a strong racing dog whose owner made a lot of money from him when he was in his prime.

He was treated like the most important being in his owner’s life until he was young and fast.

But as this poor dog started getting old and losing race the owner decided it was best to just abandon this poor soul.

When his rescuer found him he was in a very heartbreaking condition. Left with nothing but skin and bones on the verge of death.

So the rescuer carried him quickly to the vet to get him checked.

The vet was shocked to see his condition.

How could someone survive so many ordeals?

A shocking discovery

When his rescuer / adeprasantabarbara took this sweet pup to the vet, what they found was heartbreaking.

The diagnosis was grim: severe malnutrition, muscle loss, and organ damage from extreme hunger. The vet said he wouldn’t live through the night.

But giving up wasn’t an option. The rescuer asked for medicine and care instructions anyway. Maybe, just maybe, Ramoncito could survive.

His fight for life begins

A quiet space was set aside at home where the weak dog could rest. Nutritious meals — costly but vital — were given several times a day. Every attempt to stand left him exhausted, but he was gently encouraged, lifted, and comforted.

Hours turned into days, and despite the pain, Ramoncito’s spirit never broke. The love and care surrounding him began to work a quiet miracle.

No one expected Ramoncito to live

Slowly, the bones beneath his skin softened with healthy weight. His eyes brightened, his wounds began to heal, and his steps grew stronger. Soon, short walks in the park became his favorite part of the day.

And then, he ran. Not like the champion racer he once was — but like a dog who had tasted death and decided to choose life.

A forever promise

The bond between rescuer and dog became unbreakable. Ramoncito wasn’t going anywhere. He had found a home, a family, and someone who vowed never to leave his side.

Today, he sleeps peacefully under the sun, enjoys long walks, and eats to his heart’s content.

He’s no longer “just” a racing dog — he’s a loved companion, a survivor, and a reminder that even when hope seems gone, miracles can still happen.
