A Cat Collapsed While Walking Through a Park. Someone Came Back for Him

Fubo rescue story

The cat trembled as he tried to walk through the park. His steps were unsteady, and then he lost his balance and fell.

His dirty coat lay against a painfully thin body. Even moving a short distance seemed difficult.

The person who noticed him went home for food and water. After eating, the cat appeared to regain a little strength, but he stayed beneath a tree rather than leaving.

The next day, the person found him again.

He was still struggling along the same path, stopping every few steps to rest. A meal had helped him through one afternoon. He needed care that would last longer.

The Next Visit Made His Struggle Clear

In a video shared by the Animal Love Shelter YouTube channel, the rescuer describes finding a cat they identified as Burmese. His breed and age are not independently confirmed.

He was extremely thin, trembling and having trouble staying on his feet. When he lowered his head to drink, his finder noticed discharge around his eyes.

The person began bringing him food each day. They also bought chicken breast, hoping to help him regain strength.

The meals continued, but his difficulty walking remained.

His rescuer said, “I knew that one full meal would not solve his plight.”

His finder decided to bring him home and adopt him.

A Meal Became the Beginning of His Rescue

The person prepared for the trip, setting aside a cardboard box and a cage. They also made a meal of steamed eggs and meat.

When the cat approached the food and began eating, his finder carefully picked him up and placed him inside the cage.

According to the narration, he was frightened but could be handled. The person then took him to a veterinary hospital for a checkup.

The homemade food was part of how this rescue unfolded. Readers helping another sick cat should seek veterinary advice about feeding rather than copy the meal.

Cats Protection explains, “Cats need a meat-based diet that is balanced with the right amount of proteins, vitamins and minerals to keep them healthy.”

For this cat, food was only one part of the care he needed.

The Hospital Visit Was the Start of His Care

After describing the hospital visit, the rescuer reported that the cat was severely malnourished and had difficulty chewing hard food.

The narration attributes his weak bite to prolonged starvation. It does not include medical records or establish the cause of every symptom.

His rescuer named him Fubo, hoping good fortune would stay with him.

The account gives no dates for the stages that followed. Instead, it follows him from repeated park visits to the hospital, then through the daily care he received at home.

Fubo Settled Into a New Routine

At home, Fubo received canned food, along with medicine given twice a day, according to his caretaker. The medication is not named in the account.

After meals, the person gently wiped the corners of his mouth with a damp towel. They bought him a cat bed, giving him somewhere to lie down whenever walking tired him.

His days now included regular meals, care and a place to rest.

Recovery from poor nutrition can take time. In its discussion of hospitalized cats, VCA Animal Hospitals notes, “Malnutrition during hospitalization may contribute to a cat needing a longer stay and a prolonged recovery, resulting in a larger hospital bill.”

That guidance does not tell us how long Fubo needed to recover. It does help explain why eating again should not be mistaken for being fully well.

For his caretaker, the work continued from one meal to the next.

His Caretaker Began to See Changes

As the account continues, the narrator describes Fubo becoming more alert and affectionate.

His rescuer said, “Gradually, Fubo developed a deep trust in me.”

He began seeking more human contact. The cat who had once stopped repeatedly along a park path now had someone nearby to care for him and a bed where he could rest.

His appearance changed, too.

According to the rescuer, his body began to fill out and his once-sunken cheeks grew fuller. His strength was returning, although the account provides no recorded weights or measurements.

These were encouraging changes in a recovery that was still underway.

At the Last Update, His Walking Was Still Affected

Near the end of the video, the narrator acknowledges that Fubo’s way of walking still looked unusual.

The account does not establish why his gait remained affected or whether it later returned to normal. His caretaker hoped that more time and care would bring further improvement.

The story ends with that hope, rather than a confirmed full recovery.

What had already changed was his daily life.

He no longer had to remain beneath a park tree after eating. He had received a veterinary checkup, was being cared for at home and had a soft place to rest when he grew tired.

The first meal helped him through an afternoon. The visits that followed led to a hospital checkup and a home where someone could keep watching over him.

Fubo’s walking was still affected at the last update. But he was gaining strength, seeking affection and resting in a bed of his own.
